The bill (Reg. No. 2598a) aims to reduce negative impact of waste on environment during transportation, by establishing a requirement under which, transportation of bulky and repair waste can be carried out by specially equipped transport vehicles with enclosed, tipping or special body.
The Cabinet of Ministers draws attention to the fact that the definition of the notion of “specially equipped transport vehicle” does not correspond to the fundamentals of the activity of automobile transport, determined by the Law “On Automobile Transport”, and requires refinement in the part of unification of terminology.
Committee members also attached attention to unreasonably increased responsibility for violation of waste management requirements, since, according to the statistics, there is tendency towards a decrease in the number of such violations.
